The Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW) is the smaller of the two international airports in the Turkish city of Istanbul. It is located in the small Asian part of the city, about 40 km east of the Bosphorus . The airport was in January 2001 after the first female combat pilot in the world, Sabiha Gokcen, the adopted daughter of Kemal Ataturk , named.
